Message from the Vice Provost for Student Success
Marlesa A. Roney, Ph.D.
Thank you for your interest in Student Success at the University
of Kansas. As our name indicates, our focus is
on the success of each and every student at the University.
Because student success starts in the classroom, our offices
and departments provide a variety of services and programs
that enable students to excel academically. From new student
orientation to registering for classes, academic advising
and the writing center, these programs are designed to assist
you in making the most of your academic career.
Student Success extends beyond the classroom, and many of
our departments focus on providing you with opportunities
to be active as a key member of the Jayhawk Community. I
encourage you to become involved in our residence halls,
Greek organizations, student organizations and activities,
and to take advantage of the many, many opportunities available
to you here at KU.
Student Success also provides services and programs that
focus on enabling you to make a smooth transition to college
life and beyond. Take time to learn more about the programs
and services provided through our Office
of Multicultural Affairs, the Student
Involvement & Leadership Center,
the Academic
Achievement and Access Center and
the University
Career Center. In addition,
I encourage you to take advantage
of the assistance and support
available through our Counseling
and Psychological
Services Center, Legal
Services
for Students,
and Disability
Resources.
Student Success is all about students. Wherever you have
questions, whenever you need assistance, and whenever you
have ideas about how to make KU an even better University,
please get in touch.
