1. Take COMS 201 - Introduction to Leadership Studies (Ideally in your first or second year at KU; seniors should not take this course).
2. Apply for the minor.
3. If admitted, take the following courses in the next semester or two:
| COMS 431 - Communication and Leadership |
One or two credit hours of COMS 532 - Leadership Practicum |
| One, two, or three of the "distribution" courses for the minor (an ethics, community development, and diversity course selected from the approved list). |
4. In subsequent semesters, take the following:
| The remaining credits of COMS 532 - Leadership Practicum (until you have completed all three credits) |
The remaining courses needed to complete your distribution requirement. |
5. Take the capstone course, COMS 531 - Seminar in Leadership Strategies and Applications. (This should be the last course you take in the minor.)
