Founded in 1891, KU Endowment is an independent, non-profit organization recognized by KU as the foundation for raising and managing private funds on behalf of the University. By securing donor contributions, and by wisely managing and investing the funds established from those contributions, KU Endowment provides an increasing amount of financial support for KU.
The internship is designed to expose the student to the various elements essential to higher education through fundraising. Assists with direct mail, phone appeals alumni segmenting, online fundraising, student programming and donor acquisition and retention strategies. Opportunities to experience a face-to-face donor visit to learn about other operations of KU Endowment will also be available.
