Baker University
The Baker University main campus (CAS) is home to approximately 900 full-time students. It was founded in 1858 and continues to have a rich tradition as a private, liberal arts and professional institution. Baker University in its undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs, believes that its mission is to prepare students to be successful human beings. Baker University is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
Area Coordinator/Residence Life
The Residence Life Coordinator is a 9 1/2 month live-in position with responsibility for overall administration and operation of residential facilities housing approximately 550 students. Duties also include selection, training, supervision and evaluation of Senior Staff Resident Assistant and Resident Assistant staffs. The Area Coordinator will work with the Associate Dean of Students to create an environment conducive to the academic mission of Baker University.
Special Note
Internships located outside of the University of Kansas (such as this one) do not offer in-state tuition rates to out-of-state students. Students who are not residents of Kansas will be assessed the full out-of-state tuition rate. Baker will provide the student with salary of $13,250 (paid monthly), $4,000 of tuition reimbursement, and benefits that include: furnished apartment, 9 1/2 month food contract, cable TV, phone hook up and computer. There will be funds available for professional development.
