Biographical Sketch
A graduate of Concordia High School in Concordia, Kansas, Dr. Marlesa A. Roney received a B.S. in Elementary Education, B.S. in Psychology and an M.S. in Counseling and Personnel Services from Kansas State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Student Personnel Administration from Purdue University.
As Vice Provost for Student Success, Dr. Roney has administrative responsibility for 20 departments and offices that provide a variety of services and programs to assist students in the classroom, and out of the classroom.
Prior to her appointment as Vice Provost, Roney served as Vice President for Student Affairs at The University of Akron, and as the Senior Project Officer for the Lilly Endowment Retention Initiatives and Registrar at Purdue University.
