Biographical Sketch
Lori Reesor received her bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, her master’s degree in higher education from Iowa State University, and her doctorate from the University of Kansas. Dr. Reesor spent ten years working at the University of Kansas in residence life, orientation, and admissions. She then served as the Dean of Students at Wichita State University. After WSU, Dr. Reesor served as an Associate Dean in the School of Education and Assistant Professor in Higher Education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Dr. Reesor has returned to KU as an Associate Vice Provost for Student Success and she oversees the Office of Admissions and Scholarships, Counseling and Psychological Services, Department of Student Housing, Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Student Involvement and Leadership Center. She is an active leader in the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), teaches in the higher education program, and continues to do research related to new professionals in student affairs, women in higher education, and academic leadership.
Lori Reesor is married to John Miller (KU alum) and they have two young children, Sarah and Jack.
