Moira Ozias (KU Writing Center) presented, "A Systems Approach to the Empowerment Model: Learning from the Movement against Domestic Violence," Writing Centers as Public Spaces Conference, University of Illinois at Chicago, September 2006.  In addition, Moira and Beth Godbee (Wisconsin), were co-leaders of the "Antiracist Activism and Writing Centers" Special Interest Group, Midwest Writing Centers Association Conference, St. Louis MO, October 2006.

Rueben Perez (SILC) served as a “Consultant in Residence,” for the annual Kansas Student Affairs Conference, and presented on “Leadership, Management, and Politics,” Lawrence KS, Lawrence KS, September 2006. Rueben also presented a LeaderShape Institute Pre-Conference for the annual Association of Fraternity Advisors meeting in New Orleans.
