• Since 2005, the Center for Service Learning has created and supported a variety of experiential learning opportunities for students. In total, 472 students in 46 majors and eight graduate programs have been certified in service learning impacting 68 community organizations and partnering with them for over 9,500 hours of service.
• According to data compiled by the Office of the Chancellor for the 2008 President's Honor Roll, approximately 5,799 students participated in community service projects during the 2007-08 academic year providing over 234,115 hours of service to the community. Of those students 4,030 contributed 20+ hours to their projects.
• During the 2007-2008 year, over 1,800 students participated in academic service learning with the intent of applying their academic knowledge to meet specified community needs.
