Making a Gift to Student Success


Type of Gifts

Student Success accepts gifts in a variety of forms so that our contributors may choose the types of gifts that they perceive to be the most efficient, personally satisfying, and financially advantageous for both themselves and Student Success. Types of gifts can be categorized as:

General Scholarships
Housing Scholarships

Student Leadership Programs


General Scholarships

Admissions and Scholarships

Enables KU to attract and retain the best and brightest students and enhance diversity by recruiting from multiple geographic locations.

Housing Scholarships

Provides funds for students living in both scholarship and residence halls and for programming and services.

Special Projects

Student Leadership Programs

(Diverse Student Leadership)

Provides funds for students representing diverse student groups such as International; Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Inquiring: Non-traditional; Socio-economically disadvantages; and Women.

Diversity

For multicultural education and the Sabatini Multicultural Resource Center.

International Students

Provides leadership awards and programming for deserving International students leaders.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Inquiring Students

Develop leadership skills for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Inquiring students.

Non-Traditional Students in Leadership

Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Students

Assistance for socio-economically disadvantaged and/or under represented students.

Women in Student Leadership Positions

Support leadership activities and programs for women students and non-traditional students.

Student Leadership Programs

(General Student Leadership)

Provides funds for on campus student leaders and for students' living in residential communities.

Residence and Scholarship Hall Students

Support for leadership programs for students living in the residence halls.

Sorority and Fraternity Students

Enhances the experiences of students affiliated with social fraternities and sororities participating in on and off campus leadership development courses.

Students in Student Leadership Positions

Finances leadership programs and all components of the leadership training process.

Used to support emerging leaders with preference to fraternity and sorority members, attending off-campus leadership conferences as well as leadership related speakers and events on campus.

Provides funds for leadership acrtivities for students associated with the Student Union Activities (SUA) and the Unions.

Funds the annual stipend for the Rusty Leffel Concerned Student Awards and sports leadership activities and programs for students participating in University Governance.

Provides financial assistance to students participating in the leadership minor program.
